Go Beavs!!

Yesterday we wet to the OSU-WSU game! We decided since the weather was supposed to be nice (sunny & 65) and it was an afternoon game, it would be the perfect game to take Molly to for her first football experience. She did pretty well. It was a little too sunny, so we had a blanket over her most of the game! At halftime, I changed her on the floor of the aisle on some blankets & sweatshirts. She LOVED being down there!! She stayed there kicking & smiling for most of halftime!! After halftime, the sun and noise got to be a little too much for her so we went down to the concession areas and walked around for awhile. She went right to sleep and slept the rest of the game! The Beavs played great and won easily (poor WSU!) so it was a winning day all around! It was a great first football game for Molly! Here are some pictures:

First Zoo Trip!!

The week after Molly was born, a baby elephant was born at the Oregon Zoo. I have been wanting to take Molly to go see him, but the lines are usually really long. Today I decided to just do it!! Auntie and Grandma Jan joined me for Molly's first Zoo trip!  It was a week day and we got there right at 10AM so it wasn't too busy. The little elephant's name is Samudra and they call him Sam for short! He is too cute!! He weighs over 300 pounds so he outweighs Molly (and all of us too!!) It will be fun for her to grow up having an elephant at the zoo the same age!! We will watch them grow together!! Here are some pictures:

One Month Old!

On Sunday, Sept. 14th and Matt's 33rd birthday, Molly turned one month old! Our lives have changed a lot in the past month, and sleep is definitely a thing of the past, but now we can't imagine life without our little Miss Molly! She is growing and changing everyday. She is awake more often and looks at us with those big blue eyes. She seems to respond to our voices more too!

Matt was gone last night on a trip for work, so Molly, Cassie and I were on our own for the first time. We did OK, but we definitely missed Daddy!! He was glad to get 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep in the hotel room though!! No fair!!

Molly has been spitting up quite a bit after eating, so I took her into the pediatrician today. The Dr thinks she has a little reflux, so we have some medicine to try this week. Hopefully it will make her more comfortable! And us too! It is hard going through several outfits a day!!

Here are some pictures of our one month old!! More are on the photo page!

3 weeks, Janet & Jim visit, AND a wedding!!

Wow, what a week for Miss Molly! She turned 3 weeks old on Thursday, she met her grandparents from Houston and she went to Uncle Matt & Auntie Lo's wedding! We had a great time with Grammie Janet & Grandpa Jimbo here! They loved Molly and could hardly leave her yesterday. Molly had many firsts while they were here, her first dinner out (Claim Jumper!) her first Aggie game (a loss, sorry Matt!) her first Beaver game (also a loss, it could be a LONG season!), and of corse, her first wedding. Matt and Lauren got married on Saturday. It was a beautiful day and a beautiful wedding! Grandpa Wayne carried Molly down the aisle and she was perfect throughout the ceremony. During the reception, she got passed around to so many family and friends! Matt and I didn't even know where she was for a half hour!! She did great, and was loved by everyone Here are some pictures from Molly's big week (more on the photos page):

2 Week Check-Up

We just got back from Molly's 2 Week check-up. She is doing great! She is up to 7 lbs 9 oz so she is gaining weight and growing right on schedule. She also is 20 inches long now so she has grown an inch!! We are still sleep deprived, but getting used to our new life. We just love Molly to pieces! This will be a busy week for us. Janet and Jim get into town tonight to meet Miss Molly! They are so excited!! Then it is the countdown to the big wedding next Saturday! We are so excited for Lauren and Matt and also for a lot of our family and friends to meet Molly! What a week it will be!

Last Sunday we had some newborn pictures of Molly taken. They turned out great! Here is a link to the photographer's blog where she posted a few of her favorites. Now just to choose which ones to order!  www.pureimagephotography.blogspot.com

I will upload more of our pictures to Picasa web soon, so keep checking!! ;-)

1 week old!!

Miss Molly is one week old! We have had a great week at home adjusting to our new routines. We are all tired, but it is getting more manageable. We have had so many visitors and so many helpers! We really appreciate all the gifts, food and support from our family and friends. Molly is a very lucky little girl!!

We had her first check up at the pediatrician today, and Molly is a healthy growing girl! She is up to 7 pounds, so she has gained 2 oz!! As I type, she is lounging on the couch in the boppy while Matt and I watch the olympics. We just got back from our first family outing....a trip to Bridgeport Village for some ice cream! Life is good!!

We have a busy weekend ahead of us with more visitors I'm sure! Matt is preparing to go back to work on Monday and everyone is gearing up for the big wedding on September 6th. We are also looking forward to Grandma Janet & Grandpa Jim's visit next Friday!

I will leave you with a picture of Molly after a feeding session. Matt calls this her "Milk Coma"! She does look content, doesn't she?! We continue to put pictures on the Picasa website. Keep checking!!
