Christmas Videos!

Here are some videos of Molly over Christmas. In the first, Grandpa Jim is making her laugh on Christmas Eve! She has been laughing a lot more lately.....you never know what she is going to think is funny!! She REALLY thought all of us running & jumping on the new Wii was funny!

In the second, Daddy captured Molly rolling over for the first time!! She needs a little support on her foot (she pushes off our hand) but she basically is doing it on her own now!! Such a big girl!!

Next, we have Molly riding the pony that Auntie, Uncle Ralph, Uncle Tom & Aunt Cathy  got for her!

And last is a video of Molly waking up in the morning. It was a big hit with all of the grandparents to get to go get Molly up from her crib because she is so smiley! Grandpa Wayne took this video one morning as we ALL went in to get her!! So sweet!

Christmas 08!

Sorry I am so slow! It has been a busy Christmas for us! We had a great Holiday, celebrating with my family & Matt's family at our house in Tigard. It was a very white Christmas here, which was fun! We had over a foot of snow, which was the most Oregon has had in 40 years! There are several pictures on the photo page, but here are a few favorites!

4 Months, Christmas Trees and SNOW!!

Well, here in Oregon we are all snowed in!! On Sunday it snowed about 4 inches and then froze solid, so all the roads are a sheet of ice. Schools are closed and people are staying home. Another storm is supposed to come in tomorrow bringing more snow, then freezing rain, then 2-4 more inches of snow on top of that! So we might not be going anywhere for the next couple of days! It might warm up this weekend, just in time for Janet & Jim to arrive from Houston, but we are waiting to see!! So far we have kept Molly mostly inside because it is too cold (20 degrees) for her, but we did get out for a walk on Sunday morning with my parents and Emile. Emile is a high school student from Rwanda who is staying with my parents for the month of December. It is so much fun to show him all things "American"!! We are learning a lot from him about Rwanda as well! We took him on his first ever walk in the snow and got some Hot Chocolate! He loved it all!!

We kept Molly very warm!! Matt thought she looked like the little boy on A Christmas Story who couldn't move his arms!!

On Saturday, before all this snow and ice, we went out and got a Christmas tree! We went up a little hill (about 500 feet) and found ourselves in a snow shower! So Molly's first experience with snow was Saturday!! She was sticking out her tongue and licking the flakes!!

Today was Molly's 4 month visit and all is well! She got more shots today...yuck!! Here are her stats:

Weight: 12 lbs 13 oz

Length: 24 1/4 inches

Head: 16 1/8 inches

She is growing and changing everyday! We are still trying to get that reflux under control. We are trying a different medication for a couple weeks, and then if that doesn't work, I am going to try removing all milk and dairy from my diet. The doctor thinks that maybe her stomach is having a hard time digesting milk right now. Hopefully the medicine works, because I love my milk & cheese & ICE CREAM!!!

Molly has recently started laughing! Mostly at Cassie and other random things! Matt and I sing and make funny faces and try so hard to get her to laugh and then that dog runs by and she cracks up!! You never know what she thinks is funny! I'm trying to get a good video of her laugh, but I've missed it so far. I'll post it when I get one! Here are some photos from the past month, more on the photo page!

Thanksgiving & first Santa visit!

We had a great Thanksgiving with family and friends!! We hosted it at our house, and I tried brining a turkey for the first time!! I think it turned out well. The food was great, but the football could have been better! The Aggies and the Beavers both had heartbreaking losses to their biggest rivals. :-( What a terrible way to end the season.

Molly was so good all weekend and really enjoyed the visits by her aunts & uncles! She even took a nap right through Thanksgiving dinner!! How convenient!! On Sunday, Matt and I, Matt, Lauren, Mom, Brian, Sabrina and the Fishers all went to a movie while Grandpa Wayne stayed home with Molly. A first babysitting experience for Grandpa!!

Yesterday was the Kittelson & Associates Kids Holiday party. Sadly, Matt was out of town on business and so was Grandpa Wayne. And Grandma Jan was hosting bunco at her house. So Molly & I went downtown by ourselves to the party! Molly sat on Santa's lap for the first time and Santa gave her a stuffed animal and a book. I don't think Molly minded Santa too much!! She just thought his beard was a little itchy!!

Here are some photos from Thanksgiving and Molly's first visit with Santa:

3 Months!!

Sorry to be so slow posting! Molly turned 3 months last Thursday. She is doing so many new fun things!! As you can see from the video below, she is starting to get more head control! She is also smiling more and making lots of funny noises and squeals! She makes one noise that is kind of like a cough that I think will soon turn into a laugh! She is still not a big tummy time fan, but she seems to tolerate it a little better. She is also not a fan of her Jumparoo yet, but I'm sure she'll get there! We are still dealing with her reflux, which is frustrating for all of us. As Matt puts it..."I HATE SPIT-UP!!" We also hate that our little girl feels bad after eating.....no fun! We can't wait until she grows out of this!! Anyways, more pictures are on the photo page!! Enjoy!

Halloween!

Molly's first Halloween was a lot of fun! We went to just a few houses to show off our little Monkey! Then we had dinner in a Pumpkin with Mom & Kara, and answered the door for the millions of trick-or-teaters that found our neighborhood! Here are some pictures, more on the photo page!

Tag! You're it!

This was an e-mail I got that you are supposed to forward on. I thought it was a fun way to think back on how much our lives have changed, so I decided to copy it here too. Thanks to all my family and friends for a great 30 years!!

I was tagged for this so here goes! The rules of this tag are to share where I was 20, 10, 5, 3, 1 year ago and where I am today, tomorrow, and next year... :

I was living with my parents, brothers and dog Muffin at our house on Pinebrook Street. I was 10 years old and in Mr. Smith’s 5th grade class at Templeton Elementary. I remember playing Dodgeball in PE and singing in our class program “How the West Was Really Won”. My best friend was Julie Pasteris who lived down the street. We would play Barbies and have sleep overs. We would dress up my little brothers Brian & Matt and her little sister Karri and play house! I LOVED her tire swing in her back yard. She also had a great tree for climbing and we would play tree house on that all the time!

Pumpkin Patch!!

On Sunday we took Molly to Lee's Farms in Tualatin for her first Pumpkin Patch visit! She wasn't too excited about it, but wait till next year!! We got some great pumpkins, as well as some fresh apple cider, pumpkin doughnuts and other goodies. It was great that Sally was here to join us!! Here are some pictures from our trip.....more on the photos page!

2 Month Check-Up and Shots (Yuck!)

We are back from Molly's 2 month check-up. She is growing right on schedule!! Here are her stats:

Weight: 10lbs 12 oz

Height: 22 3/4 inches

Head: 14 1/2 inches

So for her weight, Molly is in about the 50th percentile. Her height puts her in the 65th percentile (Tall like Daddy!) and her head is in the 10th percentile. The doctor thought she looked "awesome" and very healthy. Poor Molly did have to get 4 shots, which was NOT fun for her. She SCREAMED! But not for very long, which is good! This afternoon we have been giving her Infant Tylenol to prevent any fever and aches that the vaccines might cause. She has been very sleepy, but she seems happy so far! Just kind of sore. Poor little girl!!

We are looking forward to Matt's Aunt Sally's visit this weekend! She is coming from Denver to meet little Molly. We are going to try to go to the Pumpkin Patch and other fun Fall activities while she is here. (And of course a little shopping.... right Sally??!! ;-) ) I will post pictures soon!! Happy Friday!!
