Our Little Valentine is 6 Months old!!

Molly turned 6 months old on Valentine's day!! She is growing so fast! It is hard to believe it has already been half of a year since she joined our family. Miss Molly is now rolling over both directions and grabbing for everything in sight! Her favorite things to grab are glasses or cups that we are holding!! Those two teeth are still coming in. I would say they are over halfway up now. That probably explains why everything goes right into her mouth!! She is getting really good at putting her pacifier back into her mouth (and taking it out too!). Look at these:









We have started going to Gymboree classes on Wednesdays! Molly seems to love it! She watches and laughs at all the other babies. Her favorite part is the bubbles at the end! Here are some pictures Grandma Jan took last week. 







Last Wednesday we had Molly's 6 Month Check up. Here are her stats:

Weight: 14 lbs 8 oz

Height: 25 3/8 inches

Head: 16 3/4 inches

So she is still a tiny girl!! Still in the 25th percentile! But she maintained that percentile so the doctor was happy with her growth. She has tried baby oatmeal, sweet potatoes, carrots, peas, apples and pears so far! She is not a fan of any of them except carrots!! Funny girl! We keep trying.... ;-) No picky eaters allowed!!



In other news, we bought a new car!! A "Family friendly" vehicle!! We just needed more space and a more reliable car than my Jetta. Here is a photo Mom took of our new Toyota Rav4.

Our Upside-Down Beaver!

Last week I started feeling some teeth in Miss Molly's mouth! Yes, that is right, I said teeth! It seems as though she is getting her TWO bottom front teeth at the same time!! She's gonna be an upside-down Beaver!! The good news is she doesn't seem to mind it or they are not causing her too much pain. (I am knocking on wood as I write this!) This morning I managed to get a picture of her teeth!!

True or False: Molly drives a car, and sun in February??!

We had a busy weekend! On Friday night we went to the Portland Auto Show at the Convention Center. It has become an annual tradition with us to go check out all the new cars, and this was Molly's first trip! She showed us which cars she wants when she turns 16.....





And she seems to be ready to take the wheel!



Then Saturday was a GORGEOUS day in Tigard!! Nearly 60 and blue skies!! Unheard of in February!! So Matt, Molly, Cassie and I went for a walk down in Cook Park. We walked across the new bridge over the Tualatin River. It was so pretty! I brought my camera along to practice some outdoor shots! 







The weather made us excited for Springtime!! Now it is back to 40's, clouds and rain...even a chance of snow! Guess the groundhog was right, we have more winter in store! But the glimpse of Spring was a nice treat!

First Cereal!

We tried giving Molly some cereal this week! She is not a fan!! Here is the video of her first bites!!



I will post more pictures later! She still doesn't like it and it is a very messy process!!

5 Months!

Sorry to be so slow. Molly turned 5 months old on January 14th!! We had a doctors appointment today and her stats are as follows:

Height: 25 1/8" (30th percentile)

Weight: 13 lbs 8 oz (25th percentile)

So we have a tiny little girl! The doctor would like her to be gaining weight and growing a bit faster, but overall, she is a healthy girl. We are going to start baby cereal next week to see if that will give her weight a boost. 

A week ago we went to Olympia to visit with Matt's aunt & cousins and attend a 90th birthday party. We had a great time and loved seeing our family that came all the way from Minnesota, but a couple days later we BOTH came down with a stomach bug! It was terrible! With Matt & I both sick and a baby to take care of, it was not fun for a couple of days. To top it off, Molly started refusing to eat from anyone but mama, and I felt horrible! My aunt Kathleen tried to come help, but Molly would have none of it. It was a long night! Thank goodness we both survived, and Molly never got sick!
